Abstract:

PURPOSE: To prevent the occurrence of abnormal heat generation and reduce the wear of a contact.

CONSTITUTION: A lamp pin 5 formed out of a cylindrical sleeve 3 and a lead-in wire 4 laid therein is projected from the base 2 of a lamp 1. Also, an insertion hole 7 is drilled through a socket 6 and a contact 8 is provided in the socket 6 so as to correspond to the hole 7. The lamp pin 5 is inserted in the hole 7 and the lamp 1 is thereby connected to the socket 6. At the same time, the external forward end of the sleeve 3 of the lamp pin 5 is caused to come in contact with the contact 8, thereby connecting and making continuous the lamp pin 5 to the contact 8. According to this construction, the lamp pin 5 can be made continuous and connected to the contact 8, without any contact between the lead-in wire 4 of the lamp pin 5 and the contact 8.
