Title:
STRUCTURE OF CONNECTOR CONNECTING PART OF BASE BOARD
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPH04112464
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To prevent an I/O pin from bending or folding when connector is inserted or drawn off, by furnishing an I/O pin skirt which is held in the neighborhood of the tip of each I/O pin by the enerizing force of a spring.

CONSTITUTION: A spring 7 to energize an I/O pin skirt 6 upward is installed between the pin skirt 6 and the surface of a base board. Thereby the I/O pin skirt 6 is held in the neighborhood of the tip of I/O pin 4 in the condition that connector 3 is not mounted yet. As a result, the I/O pins 4 are put in the condition as consolidated mechanically through the pin skirt 6, and even though any pin 4 receives stress, it will be free from generation of bending etc. When the connector 3 is to be mounted while the condition is such as described above, the pin skirt 6 moves toward the base board 1 against the energizing force of the spring 7 while correcting the I/O pins 4 inserted in a pin insert hole 5 to the upright attitude as its normal. This certainly prevents the pins from bending, etc., when mounted.
