The crystal vibrator which has a vibration part of a crystal thin blank plate and a reinforcement part surrounding the vibration part in one body and performs thickness slide vibration is constituted by electrically connecting a nearly rectangular thin piece crystal vibrating element which has an electrode formed and also has a part as a vibration part in the center to an electrode pad which is arranged apart from a container internal wall on a bottom substrate in a container where a base plate which has a hollow larger than the electrode in the center and is thicker than the crystal vibrating element and in the same shape is joined to the crystal vibrating element at an upper edge part at a periphery of the electrode and hollow and and the base plate has a recessed opening part, and mounting a lid on the recessed opening part of the container for airtight sealing. Further, a base plate is used which has a through hole larger than the electrode in the center.
