Abstract:
SOLUTION: An elastomeric laminate comprises multiple elastic strands between first and second nonwovens, where the multiple elastic strands have an average Dtex fiber diameter from about 10 to about 400, an average strand spacing from about 0.25 mm to about 4 mm, and an average prestrain from about 50% to about 300%. The peel strength between the first and second nonwovens is from about 1 N/cm to about 15 N/cm. Multiple densified bonds join the first and second nonwovens together. The multiple densified bonds are discrete and disposed spaced apart from each other. The multiple densified bonds overlap and at least partially surround portions of the multiple elastic strands.EFFECT: The elastomeric laminate may be used for disposable absorbent article components (including pant belts), and provides ease of use/wearing and improved sustained fit without marking a wearer's skin.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 9A
