PURPOSE: To achieve the reduction in the thickness of watch case by compressing a synthetic resin ring between glass and the circumferential groove of a glass fixing member and forcing out part thereof from the clearance between the glass and circumferential groove thereby forming a protrusion part.
CONSTITUTION: A circumferential groove 11 which has a collar part 12 in the upper and a packing receiving face 33 in the lower part is provided to a bezel 1. Glass 2 is so formed that its rising height part 23 becomes lower than the upper inside face 15 of the circumferential groove 11 and the outside diameter size D2 of the glass 2 is made slightly lower than the inside diameter D1 of the collar part 12. A guide taper face 22 is provided in the upper part. As the glass 2 is forced to the inside face 31, the synthetic resin ring 3 disposed between the circumferential groove 11 and the glass 2 is protruded from the clearance between the top inside face 15 of the circumferential groove 11 and the rising height part 23 of the glass, 2, whereby a protruding part 34 is formed and the thin watch glass of about 0.4 to 1.2 mm may thereby be firmly fixed.
