Abstract:
To inhibit generation, adhesion and accumulation of sludge at parts where oil is not always spread.
In a structure for inhibiting sludge adhesion in an internal combustion engine, a sludge inhibitory layer 35B for inhibiting generation or adhesion of sludge is formed on the surfaces of the parts inside the internal combustion engine, where oil is not always spread and with which oil mist contacts. The sludge inhibitory layer 35B is preferably formed of solid alkaline substance and is formed on inner surfaces 36B, 37B of an oil separator chamber 25B which is provided on a head cover 6 and separates oil from blow-by gas.
