Title:
STRUCTURE OF INLET OF CENTRIFUGAL CASTING MACHINE
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3414631
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To form a tube having an uniform thickness by arranging a partial notch to a bottom face of a metallic mold side end of an inlet of a trough-like member from an end part toward a pouring upstream side.
SOLUTION: A molten metal 5 flown out from a ladle causing a trough-like member 1A is guided into a centrifugal casting metallic mold 2. A partial notch 4 is arranged to a bottom of a metallic mold end side 3 of an inlet of the trough-like member 1A from an end part toward a pouring upstream side. When pouring by the inlet 1, the flowing force from a pouring initial stage to an middle stage having much pouring quantity is strong, the molten metal is caused to straightly flow into a casting metallic mold 2 despite of the notch 4. When the flow is decreased in a pouring final stage to decrease the flowing force, the molten metal 5 falls down from the notch 4 and reaches up to an opening end 2A of the metallic mold 2. A trough or chute can be used as the trough-like member 1A.
