Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance a designing ability for appearance of a pillar trim and a working ability for its attachment and to be successfully controllable an extending direction when an air bag is operated, since the present invention is structure for attaching the pillar trim downwardly attached on the air bag which is backwardly and forwardly arranged along the side of a roof.
SOLUTION: A seat for attaching a clip 11 is centrally protruded on the back of upper end of a center pillar trim 10 and furthermore, a piece of hook 12 is protruded on both side of the center pillar trim. Strength of its attachment is reinforced by attaching the clip 13 equipped on the seat for attaching a clip 11 and the piece of hook 12 into an aperture of attachment 21 and hook 22 for the center pillar panel 20, respectively, thereby causing so as not to detach the center pillar trim 10 in case of application of the air bag 2. In addition, an ornamental cap can also be removed by removing conventional bolts from the structure for attachment and it becomes simpler in appearance. The upper surface of the piece of hook 12 functions as a barrier and a guide when the air bag is operated and as a result, the air bag 2 is guided in an appropriate evoluting direction without the air bag ingressing inside the center pillar trim 10.
