PURPOSE: To improve workability, by a method wherein the end parts of reinforcements are protrusively provided in a top open box-out part provided at a butt joint between PC pavement slabs, and the space between the end parts is joined with a connecting rod and couplers, following which the box-out part is filled with mortar.

CONSTITUTION: When joined to each other, PC pavement slabs 1, 2 are placed so that a box-out part 3 is formed by cutting-out parts 1a, 2a. After that, couplers 8 are joined by being screwed from the both ends of a connecting rod 7 to the central part thereof, and this assembly is set between joints 4a, 5a on the projecting end parts of reinforcements 4, 5. After that, the couplers 8 are joined to the joints 4a, 5a by being screwed, and the reinforcements 4, 5 are joined to each other, following which the box-out part 3 is filled with mortar or the like. When the slabs 1, 2 are replaced or repaired, the couplers 8 are reversely turned and are removed from the joints 4a, 5a, and the slabs 1, 2 are disjoined to each other. In this way, the slabs 1, 2 can easily be joined and disjoined to each other without using special machines or tools and without specially working the slabs 1, 2.
