PURPOSE: To reduce the pitch between the external connection electrodes by securing the direct coupling between the positioning part of the glass substrate and the component fixed to the circuit substrate, and thus to provide more display elements on the display screen.
CONSTITUTION: Positioning part 21a and 21b featuring a semicircle shape are provided on upper glass substrate 21 of the liquid crystal display panel, and positioning pin 24 is fixed to circuit substrate 23. Then part 21a and 21b are pressed directly to pin 24 by the force of the Y-axis direction of projection part 22a which is formed to liquid crystal display panel supporter 22 with the spring performance, thus increasing the flat and relative position accuracy between driving terminal 25 provided to substrate 23 and external connection electrode 26 on substrate 21 which is connected electrically to terminal 25 via conducting rubber 27. As a result, the minimum inter-electrode pitch can be reduced for electrode 26, thus making it possible to install more display elements within a limited display area.
