To provide a structure and method for fixing a heat pipe which can improve the heat transfer characteristics between a heat exchange member and a heat pipe.
In a structure wherein heat exchange members and heat pipes are fixed, there are provided heat receiving blocks 2, 3 which are brought into contact with each other, a holding groove 6 which is formed where the blocks 2, 3 are opposed to each other to hold a heat pipe 1, engaging protrusions 7 formed by extrusion molding the block 2, engaging holes 9A each of which is formed by blanking the block 3 to receive the protrusions 7, and a rib 10 wherein the forward end of the protrusion 7 is caulked so as to be engaged with the block 3 having the hole 9A so that the blocks 2, 3 are positioned and fixed to each other in the thickness direction thereof.
