Title:
STRUCTURE AND METHOD FOR MOUNTING VISCOUS QUAKE DAMPING WALL
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3760296
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a structure and method for mounting a viscous quake damping wall that can be manufactured at a low cost.
SOLUTION: A side plate made of steel is placed upright on a baseplate 8 and flange plates 11 are placed on both sides thereof to form a casing open at its upper end. To mount a viscous quake resisting wall 1 comprising an inner plate 13 inserted in the casing and a viscous or viscoelastic material held in a gap portion, the flange of a lower-story beam 3 is provided with a baseplate junction and a flange joint plate 7, and the baseplate 8 and the flange plate 11 are joined thereto. An intermediate plate 13 is directly joined to a gusset plate 12 attached to the flange of an upper-story beam 4 to rationalize the dispersion of stresses and to reduce the number of component members. Also, the intermediate plate 13 is joined to the gusset plate 12 and the upper- story beam 4 with which the casing is integrated using temporary hanging pieces is set in a predetermined position. Therefore, handling is easy and shear deformation of the elastic material can be prevented during construction work and the quake resisting wall 1 can be prevented from becoming movable.
