PURPOSE: To prevent marine creatures from clinging to the outside plate of a hull and avoid the increase in the frictional resistance on the outside plate on the voyage, by providing a sheet of nickel in the main, a sticking resin layer and an outside layer of sheets of copper in the main on the outside plate of a hull.
CONSTITUTION: A lattice sheet 10 of nickel or nickel alloy is mounted on the outside layer 01 of the outside plate of a hull by resistance welding or the like. A sticking resin agent 20 is filled in the lattice openings of the sheet 10. Square sheets 30 of copper or copper alloy are mounted on the lattice sheet 10 by resistance welding or the like. The copper or copper alloy sheets 30 are firmly bonded by the sticking agent 20. The joints of the copper or copper alloy sheets 30 are sealed up by welded parts 21.
