Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To eliminate the friction between a pivot shaft and a fixture when a folding door is opened and closed though the pivot shaft has a structure having a height adjusting function.
SOLUTION: A support member 9 consisting of a built-in shaft section 6 fitted to the pivot bearing section of a fixture and a flange section 8 being placed on the pivot support surface of the fixture and supporting the load of the folding door is installed rotatably on the lower end side of a pivot shaft 2 on the lower side of the folding door. A prismatic-shaped section 11, to which an engaging member 10 being freely moved in the axial direction of the pivot shaft 2 and capable of being integrally rotated with the pivot shaft 2 is fitted, is mounted on the central side of the pivot shaft 2. A male screw section 12 being screwed on the folding door side and capable of adjusting the projecting height of the pivot shaft 2 from the lower end of the folding door at the time of the rotary operation of the pivot shaft 2 is formed on the upper end side of the pivot shaft 2. When the folding door is opened and closed, the pivot shaft 2 is turned integrally with the folding door while the flange section 8 of the support member 9 is held in the state in which the flange section 8 is pushed against the pivot support surface of the fixture.
