Title:
STRUCTURE FOR REINFORCING EMBANKMENT
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP2011214251
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

To prevent a concentration of damage in a boundary between a reinforced section provided with an underground steel-wall body and an unreinforced section during an earthquake or a flood by relieving a structural change in the boundary.

The boundary (boundary surface (a) of the countermeasure work) between a countermeasure section (b) with sheet piles in which the underground steel-wall bodies 2 are provided in two rows along the continuous direction of the embankment 1, and a section (c) without a countermeasure which is not provided with the underground steel-wall body 2 yet exists within the range of the almost upper surface 1a of the continuous embankment 1. The underground steel-wall body 2 is formed of a steel sheet pile wall which is constituted by coupling steel sheet piles 3 to each other. The rigidity of the steel sheet pile 3 of the underground steel-wall body 2 in a predetermined section (f) serving as an end of the underground steel-wall body 2 is set to become gradually lower toward the side of the section (c) without the countermeasure from the side of the countermeasure section (b) with the sheet piles. For example, the number of the type of the steel sheet pile 3 for use becomes smaller toward the side of the section (c) without the countermeasure from the side of the countermeasure section (b) with the sheet piles.
