Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To allow deviation in a position between a roll shaft on a fixed bearing stand which is adjustable in pitch and screw-down location and a roll chock on a movable bearing stand.
SOLUTION: A receiving block 26 having a bearing surface 26a having a circular-arcuate cross section which is fittable on the roll bearing of the roll shaft is arranged freely movably in a prescribed range in the direction of the pass line in the upper part of a supporting frame 22 with a roll chock position adjusting device, clamp block 27 which is approached to and separated from the receiving block 26 with locking cylinders 31 is provided in the lower part of the supporting frame 22 and the bearing supporting surface 32 of the clamp block 27 is formed into an elliptical-arcuate cross section in the middle of which a horizontal part 32a is formed and which is long in the direction of the pass line. The deviation in the direction of the pass line is allowed and the roll bearing in the tip part of the roll shaft is fixed.
