Abstract:
To provide a shallow sump in which blades of a submersible pump 4 are unlikely to be damaged, by precipitating sediment in slurry.
A shallow sump comprises an outer cylinder 1 in the outside, a center cylinder 2 installed in the center, and a bottomed spiral water passage 3 installed inside of the outer cylinder 1. The spiral water passage 3 includes a spiral wall and an outer tube bottom plate 11 in a plane view. A height of a wall surface of the spiral water passage 3 is set higher than that of a wall surface of the outer cylinder 1.
