Abstract:

PURPOSE: To shorten the fitting/removing time of rolls and improve the forming precision of an electric-resistance welded pipe by arranging either of an engaging member engagably/disengagably to a pushing member with a connecting part or a connecting operating means having operation inputting member of the engaging member between the pushing member in a pressing side device and the connecting part of the side roll shaft box at the right and the left sides.
CONSTITUTION: The inletting rod 75 is inserted/removed with a hydraulic cylinder 77 with the rods 27a, 28a in the pressing side device abutted on a holding plate 73 of the side roll shaft boxes 24, 25 at the right and the left sides so as to execute the engagement/disengagement of flanges 27b, 28b with a clamping claw 70. Therefore, it is unnecessary for the worker to go up to the inner stand as in the conventional method to insert/remove a spacer for killing the loseness in the gap between the connecting part of the side roll shaft boxes 24, 25 on the right and the left sides and the pushing member of the pressing side device. By this constitution, the fitting/removing time of the rolls can be shortened, and since both members 24-27, etc., can surely be connected without looseness, the precision of the formed part in the electric-resistance welded pipe can be improved.
