Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a structure for reducing the amount of overflow stream from a vertical shaft, which can reduce the amount of overflow stream when a water level of a water source area rises due to a tsunami and the like, in a structurally simple manner.SOLUTION: A structure for reducing the amount of overflow stream from a vertical shaft includes: a water way 2 which communicates with the sea S; a first vertical shaft 3 which rises from the water way 2; and a cylindrical adjustment tower 6 which rises from a lid 4 provided on an upper surface of the first vertical shaft 3, the one end of which communicates with the first vertical shaft 3, and the other end of which communicates with the outside. An upper surface of the adjustment tower 6 is positioned above an assumed maximum water level of the sea S.
