To improve a feeling of satisfaction and a feeling to Buddhahood in a a memorial service, and to simplify the structure of a tomb by detachably installing a cover to an inlet to a charnel chamber formed to the front of the lower section of a gravestone and using a section projected to an upper section in the cover as a memory marker, to which the name and posthumous Buddhist name of the deceased, ashes of which are laid to rest, are carved.

A gravestone 2 is placed on a charnel chamber 1, and a cover 4 is mounted detachably to an inlet 3 to a charnel chamber 1 formed to the front of the lower section of the gravestone 2. Flower vases 6 and flambeaus 7 are set up on both sides of a cover 4, and the stone 8 of a family crest 7 is positioned among the flower vases 6 and the flambeaus 7. The cover 4 is extended and formed to an upper section, and an extended section is used as a memory marker 5, to which the name and posthumous Buddhist name of the deceased, ashes of which are laid to rest, are carved. A feeling of satisfaction and a feeling to Buddhahood in a memorial service are improved at the time of a visit to a tomb by carving the name and posthumous Buddhist name of the deceased as the object of the memorial service to the memory marker 5 fitted to the front of the tomb. The cover 4 of the charnel chamber 1 is utilized effectively for the memory marker 5, thus simplifying the structure of the tomb.
