Title:
STRUCTURES FOR SLIDING DOOR AND TOP-RAILED SLIDING DOOR
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3162618
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make replacement of door leaves easy, and to shorten the term of works while reducing costs by a method wherein a lintel is fixed by nailing or the like to the wall surface and a rail is embedded in a floor, or a hanger rail is fixed by nailing or the like to the wall surface, and the door leaves are installed thereto.
SOLUTION: A lintel and a sill are installed in parallel with each other at the upper and the lower parts of an opening provided at a wall, and a door leaf capable of moving in reciprocation over rails formed by the lintel and the sill is arranged, with the lintel formed, being projected toward the interior side, on the wall surface. On installing the door leaf, fitting of frame members into the opening becomes unnecessary, and the sliding door leaf 1' can be installed only by fixing the lintel to the wall surface with nails or the like and by embedding a rail serving as a sill into the floor. Furthermore, replacement of the door leaf becomes easy. In such a way, processes for forming a partial wall become unnecessary, and as the sill is embedded in the floor, elderly or disabled persons are protected from stumbling over the sill with safety ensured while making passage easy for wheelchairs.
