Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a structuring method and a retrieving method for T-tree indexes, a structuring device and a retrieving device for T-three indexes, which enable high- speed range retrieval using T-tree indexes by tracing links between nodes in the increasing or/and decreasing order of key values, and a storage medium stored with a T-tree index structuring program, and a storage medium stored with a T-tree index retrieving program.
SOLUTION: When T-tree indexes are structured, nodes and key values which are generated are obtained and tree indexes are structured while links between nodes which enable tracing between the nodes in the increasing or/and decreasing order of the key values are given. When the T-tree indexes are retrieved, large/small relation is given as a retrieval condition together with the value of a retrieval key and for range retrieval wherein a set of key values satisfying the large/small relation is retrieved, a set of key values included in a specified range is retrieved by using the links between nodes enabling tracing between the nodes in the increasing or/and decreasing order of the key value, thereby returning the retrieval result.
