To provide a strut type suspension device capable of effectively reducing a side force of a suspension by a compact constitution requiring no constraint related to layout.
In the strut type suspension device, a strut comprising a coil spring 1, a shock absorber 2 inserted into the inside space of the coil spring 1, and an axle 5 mounted to the outer cylinder 2b of the shock absorber is vertically disposed tilting inward of a vehicle, the upper end of the strut is supported oscillatably on a car body, and the lower end of the strut is pivoted at the outer end position of a lower link 6. An elastic displacing mechanism 8 or a slide displacing mechanism 18 for displacing, outward of the vehicle, a lower spring sheet 4 with a spring reaction force in a suspension stroke time following a bound of a tire 7 is disposed between the lower spring sheet 4 for supporting a winding lower end of the coil spring 1 and the outer cylinder 2b of the shock absorber.
