PURPOSE: To belittle bending stress that acts on a strut by means of a coil spring, by conducting the offset arrangement of the coil spring against the axis center of the strut so that the coil spring center axis may intersect a triangular plane formed by connecting three specific points.
CONSTITUTION: A coil spring 8 is arranged at the outer periphery of the upper part of a strut 1, and the spring 8 is provided in compression between an upper mount member 4 and a flange portion 9 provided at the upper periphery of a cylinder 2. In this instance, the offset arrangement of the spring 8 against the strut 1 axis center is conducted so that the center axis of the spring 8 may intersect a triangular plane BGM'. Hereupon, the triangular plane BGH' is formed by connecting mutually a lower arm 6 knuckle connection point B and two intersections G, H' at which a perpendicular line P passing a tire ground contact point A and a perpendicular line Q passing a tire end 7 knuckle connection point H respectively intersect a plane BCC'. Also, the plane BCC' is formed by connecting mutually the lower arm 6 knuckle connection point B and lower arm 6 front and rear car body connection points C, C'.
