Abstract:

To apply prescribed tension to a stud bolt easily by fitting a controller for rotating a prescribed rotational angle nut onto a nut rotating mechanism after heating the stud bolt.

Under no tension generated at a stud bolt 5 with a nut 7 tightened lightly, a stem heater 11 is inserted and heated in a hole in the middle of the stud bolt 5, and the stud bolt 5 is elongated by thermal expansion. A controller 21 controls electric power supplied to the stem heater 11 to control heating of the stud bolt 5, and a nut rotation motor 15 is controlled to turn the nut 7 by a prescribed angle. It is cooled by the stud bolt 5 and is elongated to a degree of the thickness of a flange 3, thus generating prescribed tension.
