To provide a student desk whose top board can be simply, easily and speedily adjusted to a most suitable angle even by a primary school child.

The student desk is provided with the top board 2 which is connected with a desk body 1 through a hinge 5 in a tiltable manner and a tilt mechanism 3 which tilts the top board 2. The tilt mechanism 3 is provided with a threaded rod 31 which is arranged under the top board 2 so that it may extend in a front-back direction, a crank handle 33 which is connected with the end of the threaded rod 31 and rotates the threaded rod 31, a base frame 30 with which the threaded rod 31 is rotatably connected and which is fixed to the desk body 1, a nut 34 which is screwed in the threaded rod 31 and is axially moved by the rotating threaded rod 31, and up-and-down mechanisms 40 and 50 which move an rising end 41 up and down by a relative movement between the nut 34 and the threaded rod 31. The student desk is tilted by rotating the threaded rod 31 by the crank handle 33, moving the rising end 41 of the up-and-down mechanisms 40 and 50 up and down by the rotating threaded rod 31, and pressing the top board 2 upward from underside by the rising end 41.
