Abstract:
To provide a stylet which can maintain flexibility on a tip side and desired hardness on a base end side while preventing the occurrence of a kink and breakage, and which enables a catheter assembly to be suitably inserted along a guide wire.SOLUTION: A stylet 50 includes an outer layer tube 51 which is extended in an axial direction, and an inner layer tube 52 which is arranged on the inner periphery of the outer layer tube, which has a hollow shape and which is harder than the outer layer tube. The inner layer tube has an inner peripheral surface of a tip part of the inner layer tube provided with a diameter-reduced part 52B, the diameter of which is reduced toward an axial base end side and which guides a guide wire to a lumen of the inner layer tube.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 8
