Abstract:
PURPOSE: To enhance measuring accuracy by forming the shape of a measuring hole which is provided at the tread surface in a rectangular shape.
CONSTITUTION: A stylus 3 for measuring displacement is arranged at the central part of a measuring hole 4 which is formed at the tread surface with which a tire W is in contact. The measuring hole 4 is formed in a rectangular shape. An R shape is formed at each corner part 5 of the measuring hole 4. An edge part 6 is chamfered. The ratio between a short side 4a and a long side 4b is made to be, e.g. about 1:2. The reason why the R shape is formed at the corner part 5 and the edge part 6 is chamfered is to reduce the effect of hooking of tire tread rubber.
