Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress deterioration of control stability due to variation in a detection state in a case of performing control on the basis of a result of detecting a specific subject area.SOLUTION: A subject detection device comprises: first detection means for detecting an area of a first detection target from an image; second detection means for detecting from the image an area of a second detection target with which the area of the first detection target can be estimated; and control means for performing control so as to perform display of indicating the area of the first detection target when a predetermined condition is satisfied. The control means changes the predetermined condition on the basis of whether or not the second detection means has detected the area of the second detection target.
