Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize with a comparatively simple method an object tracking device which is wide in tracking range and superior in tracking response. SOLUTION: This device is provided with a high-speed narrow area universal head 1-3 that tracks an object at a comparatively high-speed with a narrow moving range, a low-speed wide area universal head 1-4 that tracks an object at a comparatively low speed with a wide moving range as a means of changing a photographing direction, an object recognition section 1-5 by which the high- speed narrow area universal head 1-3 and the low-speed wide area universal head 1-4 are coordinated, an adder 1-6, controller 1-7, 1-8 and a subtractor 1-9, which are coordinate means. Since the low-speed wide area universal head that has a wide tracking range and a slow response speed and the high-speed narrow area universal head that has a narrow tracking range but a high response speed utilize the advantages and compensate for the disadvantages, the object tracking device with a wide tracking range and superior response tracking performance can be realized easily.
