To provide a sublance probe which does not stick metal, etc., to the sublance without drastically increasing the cost.
A probe paper tube body 2 of the sublance probe 1 for executing temp.-measuring and/or sampling by directly dipping into molten metal is constituted with triple probe paper tubes 2a-2c. A gap 7 is arranged by separating on the way in the outermost side probe paper tube 2c of the probe paper tube body 2 and the rear end part of the separated probe paper tube part 8 is projected by a prescribed projected length from the rear end part of the probe paper tube body 2. Then, the probe side inserting length of the probe paper tube body 2 is made the same as or shorter than the insert length at the holder side of the holder 11 arranged at the tip end part 10a of the sublance 10 and this difference is made to the projected length or shorter of the separated probe paper tube part 8. The width of the gap 7 is made to this projected length or longer and the separated probe paper tube part 8 is fixed with nails 9 as a fixing means to the probe paper tube 2b at the inside thereof, and this fixing force of the nails 9 is set so as to be weaker than the fitting force for fitting the probe paper tube body 2 to the holder 11.
