Abstract:
PURPOSE: To store observation data on all movements of the earth submarine crust without increasing the storage capacity of a storage device even when movements of the earth's crust exceeding the presupposed number occur.
CONSTITUTION: The submarine station is constituted in such a way that a diastrophism detection part 17 and an occurrence number-of-times counter 15 are installed, that the occurrence number of movements of the earth's crust is counted, that observation data stored in a data storage part 23 is compressed by using a data compression part 19 when the occurrence number of movements of the earth's crust exceeds the preset number and that the compressed observation data is stored in a storage part 22.
