Title:
SUBMERGED ARC WELDING METHOD FOR HIGH CR FERRITIC HEAT RESISTANT STEEL
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPH11291086
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

To improve the creep characteristic in the high temperature range, and the low temperature toughness by combining a wire having the specified composition with a baked flux having the specified composition to reduce O, Si and Al in a weld metal.

A wire having the composition consisting of, by weight, 0.03-0.12 C, 0.3-1.5% Mn, 8-13% Cr, 0.3-1.0% Mo, 0.01-0.15% Nb, 0.1-0.4% V, 0.5-3.0% W, 0.05-1.2% Ni, 0.01-0.08% N, ≤0.10% Si, ≤0.10% Al, ≤0.015% O, and the balance Fe with inevitable impurities, is combined with a baked flux containing, by weight, 40-70% CaF2, 10-30% one or two kinds of CaO and MgO, 10-30% Al2O3, 3-8% SiO2 and 0.3-1.8% Al. Preferably, the wire contains, by weight, ≤5% one or two kinds of Cu and Co, and ≤0.005% B.
