PURPOSE: To cope with a difference in a machining condition by providing a submotor which is constituted to have a plurality of kinds of motors having various different output data selected according to the machining condition of a machine tool and have a tool situated at the tip thereof.
CONSTITUTION: A plurality of submotor units 40 are properly selected in such a manner to cope with the change of a machining condition according to the difference of a kind of a material to be machined and the difference of a kind of a machining work, such as a coarse machining work, a finishing machining work, a precise machining work, and a grinding work, and exchanged and attached to the tip of the main spindle 20 of a machine tool. This constitution performs the feed of a power to the motor 50 of the submotor 40 attached to the tip of the main spindle 20 and transmission and receipt of a control signal through an electric connector unit 62 mounted on the housing part 12 of a spindle head 10 and an electric connector part 56 mounted on the submotor unit 40.
