Abstract:
To provide a method for making a substantially linear copolymer derived from at least one acyclic aliphatic olefin monomer and at least one nitrogen-containing vinyl monomer.
The substantially linear copolymer is derived from at least one acyclic aliphatic olefin monomer and at least one nitrogen-containing vinyl monomer. The at least one nitrogen-containing vinyl monomer is represented by formula (I) (wherein R19 is -C=C or -C(O)-C=C; and R20 and R21 are each selected from H, an alkyl, alkenyl, alkynyl, aryl, biphenyl, carboxylate, carboxyalkyl, carboxyarylalkyl, alkoxy, alkenyloxy, alkynyloxy, aryloxy, or alkoxycarbonyl group, and their derivatives). The substantially linear copolymer is made by using a transition metal catalyst complex.
