Abstract:
NEW MATERIAL: Substituted acrylic ester of formula I (R1 and R2 are each an alkyl, alkenyl or alkynyl; X is H, a halogen, alkyl, alkoxy, CF3 or the like; Y is ethylene, ethenylene, methylenoxy or the like; R is H, an alkoxy, halogen, cyano, alkenyl, alkynyl or the like).
EXAMPLE: Methyl α-[2-(2,6-dimethyl-2,6-octadienyloxy)phenyl]-β-methoxy acrylate.
USE: It is used as fungicides.
PREPARATION: For example, a derivative of 2-hydroxyphenyl-acetic acid of formula II is reacted with a formic ester in the presence of sodium hydroxide to obtain a compd. of formula III, which is then subjected to alkylation to obtain a compd. of formula IV, in which Y is zero in the compd of the formula I.
