Abstract:
PURPOSE: To provide novel aza(cyclo)alkanes useful as combating agent for pests in particular having excellent insectidide activity.
CONSTITUTION: By reacting an azaalkane of formula II with a halogenated compound of formula X-R2 and/or formula X-R3 (wherein X represents halogen), a compound of formula I [wherein R1 represents a 5 or 6 membered heterocyclic ring having 1 to 4 heteroatomes of 1 to 4 nitorogens and/or 1 or 2 oxygens or sulfurs which may be optionally substituted; R2 represents (poly)hydroxyalkyl, or (poly)alkoxyaokyl; R3 represents hydrogen, alkyl, (di)hydroxyalkyl or (di) alkoxyalkyl; R2 together with R3 represent (di)hydroxyalkanediyl, (di) oxoalkanediyl or the like; R4 represents hydrogen, alkyl, alkenyl, alkynyl, benzyl, formyl, alkylcarbonyl or the like; Y represents nitrogen or CH; Z represents CN or NO2], for example 1-(6-chloropyridine-3-yl-methyl)-1-(2,2-diethoxy-ethyl)-2- nitropyridine, is provided.
