Abstract:

To provide a light-absorbing pigment composition which can impart a function for absorbing light having a specific wavelength to plasma display panels or the like and can inhibit the deposition and coagulation of a photostabilized cyanine-based pigment in an adhesive, to provide a substituted benzenedithiol metal complex suitable for the use, and to provide a photostabilized cyanine-based pigment suitable for the use.

There are provided the substituted benzenedithiol metal complex comprising a specific substituted benzenedithiol metal complex anion and a cation; the photostabilized cyanine-based pigment comprising a counter ion combination of the substituted benzenedithiol metal complex anion with a cyanine-based pigment cation; and the light-absorbing pigment composition comprising the photostabilized cyanine-based pigment, a cross-linking agent, and an adhesive.
