NEW MATERIAL: A compound of formula I [wherein R1 is a (halogenated) 1-10C alkyl, a phenyl-1-7C alkyl or the like; R2 is a 1-10C alkyl, a 2-10C alkenyl, phenyl or the like; R3 is a 1-10C alkyl, alkoxy, a 3-7C cycloalkyl or the like; R4 is a 1-10C alkyl, a 3-7C cycloalkyl or a 5 or 6C cycloalkenyl; R5 is H or R6(Y)n (wherein R6 is a 1-10C alkyl, phenyl or the like; Y is O, S, SO, NH or the like, n is 0 or 1) or the like].
EXAMPLE: N-(2-ethyl-6-isopropylphenyl)-N-acetyl-N'-tert-butylthiourea.
USE: An active ingredient of pesticides agents. Useful to control insects, mites and phytopathogenic bacteria.
PREPARATION: For example, a thiourea of formula II is reacted with an acid halide of formula III (wherein X is a residue of a hydrohalogenous acid) in the presence of a base in a solvent to obtain a compound of formula I.
