To provide a substrate suitable for a lithographic printing master plate capable of making a lithographic printing plate excellent printing durability and printing performance.

This substrate for lithographic printing master plate consists of a raw paper made of a pulp paper material having 0.45 to 0.65 mm weight average fiber length and having ≥0.90 g/cm3 density specified by JIS P8118, both surfaces of which are coated with a polyolefin resin. The adhesion strength between the raw paper and the polyolefin resin is preferably ≥300 g.
