Abstract:

To provide an organic electroluminescent element low in drive voltage, and providing uniform luminescence, in the organic electroluminescent element using a substrate for patterning an organic thin film having a bank formed on a charge transport layer.

This substrate for patterning an organic thin film for the organic electroluminescent element includes one or more charge transport layers directly on the substrate or through the other layer, and includes, on the charge transport layer, a bank or a region delimited by the bank wherein the charge transport layer contains a compound obtained by dissociating a compound having a functional group dissociated by heat and/or active energy rays by heat and/or active energy rays. The organic electroluminescent element using the substrate for patterning an organic thin film is also provided.
