Abstract:
PURPOSE: To provide a substrate which is thin, mild to the skin, and soft and to provide a self-adhesive tape by using the substrate and is esp. suitable for medical uses, e.g. as a binding tape of a diaper.
CONSTITUTION: A compsn. obtd. by mixing a rubber and/or a synthetic resin with a microcapsuled thermal expansion agent is formed into a thin film and expanded by heating to give a substrate 1 of a self-adhesive tape which contains a number of closed cells 11 and has a surface 10 covered with a slightly uneven surface skin. This tape is prepd. by forming a self-adhesive layer 2 on at least one side of the substrate 1.
