Abstract:

To provide a thermal transfer image receiving body, wherein glossiness is high, surfer roughening is low, and a clear image can be formed.

A base layer 9 is composed of a biaxially oriented film of thermoplastic resin containing a fine inorganic power. A surface layer 8 is composed of a biaxially oriented film of thermoplastic resin, wherein a three- dimensional contral plane average roughness is 0.3 μm or lower, and a surface glossiness at an angle of incidence of 60° is 80% or higher. A thermal transfer image receiving body includes a substrate having the surface layer 8 on at least one side of the base layer 9.
