SOLUTION: This microlens substrate 1E has such a formation that a glass layer 6 is joined through a resin layer 7 on a surface where concave parts 3 of a substrate 2E with concave parts for microlenses, where many concave parts 3 and pseudo concave parts 45 are formed, are installed, and on the resin layer 7, microlenses 8 are formed by a resin filled in the concave parts 3. The pseudo concave parts 45 have a shape roughly similar to the concave parts 3 and a smaller size than the concave parts 3, and are installed on the whole non-effective lens region 100. The pseudo concave parts 45 work as a resin gathering place. An arrangement density of the pseudo concave parts 45 has such a tendency as to decrease gradually toward the edge parts of the substrate 2E with concave parts for microlenses from the peripheries of an effective lens region 99.
