PURPOSE: To block the occurrence of breakage to a plate glass by preventing thrust of an elevating cylinder from being transmitted to the plate glass through a sucking pad.

CONSTITUTION: A support member 14 vertically movably supports a sucking pad 16 through a shaft 20 and the sucking pad 16 is supported in a suspending state through a shaft 20. This constitution separates thrust of an elevating cylinder 12 from the sucking pad 16 during lowering of the support member 14 and the sucking pad 16 is lowered to a sucking position under its own weight following lowering of the support member 14. Thus, thrust of the elevating cylinder 12 is not transmitted to a plate glass 32 through the sucking pad 16.
