Abstract:
PURPOSE: To detect the body heat in the mouth of a baby by using a teething ring. CONSTITUTION: A main case 2 fitted to a base part 1 of a nipple main body 11 formed into a hollow-like shape and an inner case 3 fitted to the opening of the main case 2 form a space part communicated with the hollow part of the nipple main body 11. An annular clinical thermometer 5 with a projected heat-sensitive plate is held by the main case 2 and the inner case 3. A thermal- conductive liq. 12 being brought into contact with the heat-sensitive plate 54 of the clinical thermometer 5 is sealed in the space part communicated with the hollow part of the nipple main body 11. A heat-sensitive element 62 is arranged in the thermal-conductive liq. 12. An electric sound generator 7 actuated by detecting a set temp. of the heat-sensitive element 62 is provided. When a baby sucks the nipple part 11, the clinical thermometer 5 is actuated thereby in accordance with the body heat in the mouth of the baby. An abnormal symptom of the body heat in the mouth of the baby can be detected by an alarm sound. Illness and disease of the baby can be perceived.
