To prevent a subsiding phenomenon generated in a water permeable sheet in accordance with evacuating suction by a method wherein a plurality of trestle members, having a length same as the size of widthwise direction of the water permeable sheet, are established with a predetermined interval on an endless belt, arranged on a suction box and supporting the water permeable sheet from the rear side of the same.
In a solid-liquid separating device, in which matters to be dehydrated are put on a water permeable sheet 2, formed of an endless continuous body, to apply dehydrating treatment continuously by the evacuating suctioning of the matters to be dehydrated from the lower part of the water permeable sheet, a belt 9 is arranged above a suction box 3. The belt 9 is suspended on two pieces of rollers 10, 10 arranged so as to be separated. In this case, a plurality of pieces of trestle members 11, extending into the widthwise direction of the water permeable sheet 2 to support by abutting against the rear surface of the water permeable sheet 2 and provided with a groove 12 formed in the lengthwise direction of the same, are established with a predetermined interval. According to these trestle members 11, the subsiding of the water permeable sheet 2 can be eliminated and sliding resistance, generated between the water permeable sheet 2, can be lightened.
