Abstract:

PURPOSE: To accurately determine the lock of a rotary brush and to protect a nozzle motor, by a method wherein when output from a current-detecting circuit is beyond a first preset value, voltage applied to the nozzle motor is lowered by regulating a phase-control angle therefor, and when the output is beyond a second preset value, it is determined that the rotary brush is locked and the operation of the nozzle motor is stopped.

CONSTITUTION: When a rotary brush 10 is locked, a mean value of detected voltage is suddenly increased by the work of a peak-holding circuit. At this time, if the mean value at a first preset value or above is continuously detected for a first preset time or above, it is decided that the rotary brush 10 is being in the state of locking. When it is determined that the rotary brush 10 is being in the state of locking, a phase-control angle is made large and voltage applied to a nozzle motor 26 is lowered. After that, the mean value at a second preset value or above is continuously detected for a second preset time or above, it is determined that the rotary brush 10 is locked and the operation of the nozzle motor 26 is stopped.
