In a suction cup (a), the lower end peripheral edge 2 of a sucker main body 1 and the lower end peripheral edge 5 of a skirt 4, internally provided on the recess-like suction surface 3 of the main body 1, are arranged in the same plane 6, and also many cuts are notchedly provided radially over the whole periphery of the edge 2, within the range of a space 7 formed between the inner surface of nearby the edge 2 of the main body 1 and the upper surface of the skirt 4.
