Abstract:

PURPOSE: To prevent the deterioration in fire resistance due to a rise in combustion temperature over the improvement of an ignition and a combustion property, by a method wherein oxygen rich air enriched by an oxygen concentration enriching device is fed so that it collects one-sidely in the vicinity of an ignition plug of an engine.

CONSTITUTION: In a low-load operating time of an engine, through operation and control of an oxygen concentration controller 26, a stop valve 12 is closed, a relief valve 22, simultaneously, is closed, and this feeds oxygen rich air from an oxygen concentration enriching device 23 to an engine 1 from an oxygen rich air feed path 13 through a main suction path 2 and supplies it to the engine through a branch path 27. Meanwhile, in the high-load operating time of the engine, through bringing of the controller 26 into non-operation, the stop valve 12 is opened, a control valve 18 is closed and relief valve 22, simultaneously, is opened, usual air is fed to the engine 1 through a path 2, and oxygen rich air from the enriching device 23 is relieved through a relief path 21.
